With the sheer multitude of places to visit, sights to see and tons of fun stuff to do in Johannesburg, it becomes difficult to settle on just a few spots to visit with such limited time. If you happen to be in such a fix, here are six awesome destinations that are super fun to visit, and worth your time and money.

1. The Carlton Centre Skyscraper

Built in 1973, The Carlton Centre is currently the tallest building in Africa. The building stands at 223 metres, which is only about 40 metres away from making the top 100 list of highest skyscrapers in the world. The 50 story building offers a birds-eye, panoramic view of dazzling Johannesburg from the bustling city streets to the peaceful Jozi countryside.

2. BGR Burgers

If you are down for some mouth-watering, SA style prime burgers, then look no further than BGR Burgers to give you exactly what you want. These exquisite burgers are made fresh with secret blends of SA's finest choice beef and other top-notch ingredients. The place screams quality and is guaranteed to satisfy your cravings.

3. SAB Brewery Tour

Having been named the one of the top 50 tourists destinations in South Africa, the SAB Brewery tour is a beer lovers paradise. Here, you will be taken through South Africa's rich beer history and its impact on the country. The best part is after the tour you get to sample some of the beers.

4. Living Room in Maboneng

This rooftop cafe is exactly what the doctor ordered if you are looking to relax and unwind when in Johannesburg. The place not only offers scrumptious meals and ice-cold refreshments, but also spots an incredible view of Johannesburg.

5. Neighbourgoods Market

Local produce, fresh food and unique stuff are what the neighbourgood market is all about. Take a stroll through the market and try out some of the food joints, buy a souvenir for someone, quench your thirst with freshly squeezed lemonade and take pictures of the place to really capture the vibe of the place. You may be tempted to spend all your money there but hey, you only live once right?

6. Constitution Hill

The history-rich Constitution Hill is a testimony of South Africa's fight for democracy and an end to the apartheid regime. The former prison and military fort that was once a symbol of injustice and oppression is now a national museum and the Constitutional Court. Walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and many great people who once served sentences in the prison and immerse yourself in South Africa's rich history. Constitution Hill is easily accessible, however, most travelers book a vehicle with 4x4 rental Johannesburg, to accommodate a group or family.
