Football development is very crucial in every country, however securing sponsorship continues to be one of the biggest problems’ development coaches must face.

However, Hi-Tec has always aimed to change lives and uplift communities where possible. The brand’s recent community upliftment project in Mofolo Park, Soweto & partnership with Soweto Bulls FC proved exactly that.

“We approached Hi-Tec as our off-field apparel sponsor after we started using the training gym in Mofolo Park and realised that this is a brand that believes in the development of the people in our area,” said Neo Phetlho (27), founder and owner of Soweto Bulls FC.

He says their aim with the partnership is to grow followership on the team’s social media pages in order to attract more numbers during match days.

The young coach emphasizes that sponsorship enhances the club’s image commercially which makes it easy for the club to recruit players, fans and enhance their training.

“Sponsorship in football is highly important as most clubs aren't set up as a profit generating entity but as an organisation that generates enough income to continue developing footballers, sponsorship can soften this blow by allowing the club to save expenses on certain needs that can be met by the said sponsor,” Phetlho added.

He also thanked Hi-Tec for launching the training station at Mofolo Park which makes it easy for him to train the boys for free.

"We usually do pre-hab and rehab/strength training there before our main session which will focus on the football technical-tactical part of our game philosophy,  so we are very fortunate to have the HI-TEC training station in Mofolo Park”, he concluded.
